Our Philosophy
About the Firm Pamela K. Flowers, ASID, has been creating beautiful and unique interiors for twenty-five years.
Pam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University, is a licensed Interior Designer by Texas Architectural
Board and a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers. P.K. Flowers Interiors, Inc. is a full service design firm which serves clients with great attention
to detail, producing an interior which reflects their needs and lifestyle in an inviting space. Pam travels often to find
architectural elements, textiles and furnishings to incorporate into her work. Coupled with the design firm is her retail
home furnishings store, Chattel, located inside a circa 1890 limestone
building in the historic district of Aledo, Texas; once part of the Texas and Pacific train depot. Our residential design projects range from accessorizing of an existing room to major renovation
or new home builds. Our firm is experienced in working with architects as well as general contractors and tradesmen. We have
a design staff and administrative office personnel to assist through all phases of a project ensuring a professional body
of work.
Our Design Philosophy and Process Our Motto is “A
home is a refuge—it should be hard to leave and easy to return to.” Well-versed in all design styles, we work
with clients to develop a comprehensive design plan that will transcend the years. In every project, we bring a rich history
of satisfied clients who refer our services to their friends and family, facilitating a relationship with them beyond just
one generation. Upon our first meeting, we present our portfolio and assess the client’s design style and
scope of work. From there we move on to space planning and we continue with the selection of furniture, colors, fabrics and
wall, window and floor coverings. Art and accessories then provide the finishing touches.
Fee Structure Each project is unique and we work on many different levels depending on the client’s
needs. We begin with an initial consultation at the client’s residence or at our design studio. If the firm is retained
for the project, the initial consultation is offered at no charge. Should the client choose not to go forward with the project,
an hourly fee is charged for the consultation. Once the firm is retained, we draw up a Letter of Agreement which outlines
the scope of the project, and the varied fee structure.
